Roadworks on Duntocher Road (A810): Keeping You Moving

2 months ago Thu 15th May 2025

Essential roadworks mean Duntocher Road (A810) will be fully closed from 18 May to 01 June 2025. This unfortunately means we need to make some temporary changes to your service 17.

How service 17 will be affected:

  • Bearsden area: We're sorry, but service 17 won't be able to serve the Bearsden section of its route during this time.
  • Faifley to Canniesburn: There will be no service 17 running between Faifley Terminus and Canniesburn Road.
  • Towards the City Centre: If you're heading into the city centre, your Service 17 journey will still serve Duntocher, Faifley then divert via Drumpchapel to Canniesburn Toll and will then follow its usual route.
  • From the City Centre: When travelling from the city centre, service 17 will take a detour via Canniesburn Road, Drumchapel, the A82, and Great Western Road.

Keeping you moving:

We know the roadworks could really disrupt your travel, and we're committed to keeping you connected. That's why our team has been working hard behind the scenes to put some helpful alternatives in place.

Special journeys and timings:

  • Grampian Way (opposite shops) to Canniesburn: We'll be running a few extra trips in the mornings, Monday to Friday, departing at 05:50, 06:30, and 07:10.

Service 15 (Milngavie to City Centre)

  • This service will continue to run as normal. If you usually catch the 17 in Bearsden, you can hop on service 15 at Ledi Drive and change onto service 17 at Canniesburn Toll.
