We are pleased to announce our updated summer bus routes, coming into effect from Friday  28 March

We're dedicated to boosting connectivity and enhancing convenience for our  customers, with special focus on aligning with the CalMac summer ferry timetable.

Here are the key updates to our routes:

  • Kilchattan Bay – Ettrick Bay (Services 90/490): Enjoy longer visits at Mount Stuart House! Plus, Service 490 trips to Rhubodach have been rescheduled to ensure seamless connections for passengers from Dunoon service 478.

  • Otter Ferry – Tighnabruaich (Service 473): Morning services to Tighnabruaich Primary School will now depart three and five minutes later, respectively - giving you a bit more time to start your day!

  • Dunoon – Inveraray/Carrick Castle (Services 484/486): The final journey, previously service 486 at 17:50, will now operate as service 478 at 17:45, ensuring you get home sooner. The 10:54 service 484 to Carrick Castle, returning at 12:16 to Dunoon, will now run on all school days, expanding from its previous Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday schedule. The last service between Dunoon and Strachur will now operate as service 478, with no route sections omitted. This service will extend to Colintraive and Portavadie, serving Leanach, in response to requests from Strachur Community Council.

  • Ardentinny – Dunoon – Toward (Service 489): An additional return journey has been added to Innellan High Road, following requests from South Cowal Community Council.

  • Rothesay Town Service (Service 491): The initial 08:12 service will now call at The Bush before proceeding to Rothesay Joint Campus, optimizing capacity for students traveling to the campus. This stop was previously made after Rothesay Joint Campus.
